Marinvent Corporation is pleased to announce that its Dynamic Non-Linear Display (DNLD) Technology has been formally accepted for the issuance of US and European patents, with worldwide applications pending. This technology addresses the problems encountered with conventional real-time displays that simultaneously require high resolution and very large ranges. Examples include the airspeed and altitude tapes on Head Up Displays (HUD) and Electronic Flight Instrumentation Systems (EFIS). DNLD flight trials are underway at the National Research Council of Canada’s Institute for Aerospace Research, with participation anticipated from the US Tri-Service Flight Symbology Design Group.
